Caileen Hill (Owner/Lead Teacher)
My love for teaching children, and working side by side with parents to help their children succeed, has motivated me to continue on this path of working with kids and families.
I have my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Family Studies from the University of Washington.
I began teaching preschool to the children in my care starting back in 2004 when I opened my family child care, for most of this time I purchased curriculum to do with the children. I found that these purchased curriculum sets didn't produce the desired learning environment I was looking for because they were not developmentally appropriate. Over the last 7 years I have developed my own curriculum which is constantly changing and developing. I learn new things through course work, and through working with the children, my curriculum will always be adapting to address the needs and interests of the children.
My husband and I have been married since 2001 and have two children. We are members of Capital Christian Center, where we usher have served on the usher team every other Saturday night since 2008. We also enjoy hosting a small group in our home weekly.
In our spare time we enjoy spending time in our yard and working in the garden. We love to take the kids camping and try our best to spend every opportunity we get to play outdoors (we do live in Washington after all, so sometimes that's a little difficult!) We enjoy doing home improvement projects as well! Family is very important to us and we spend a lot of time with our extended family.
I am very passionate about working with children and make it my soul ambition to ensure that every child in my preschool is seen as an individual and is given the opportunity to learn at their pace, while being challenged at the same time.
I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you and your child! Please email or call me if you have any questions.
